This Privacy Policy explains how ReporterLink ("the App", "we", "us"), operated by TECHDEVRIT SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED ("TechDevrit"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our news-video creation application and its Google Drive upload feature. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, email/login ID, and phone (if provided) used to create and manage your account.
• Content you create — projects, templates, and exported report videos you make in the App.
• Google account data — when you choose to connect Google Drive, we access your Google account email and permission to upload files to your Google Drive.
• Device & usage data — basic technical information (app version, device type, crash logs) to keep the App stable.

2. How We Use Google Drive (Google User Data)

Connecting Google Drive is optional. When you connect it, the App requests the drive.file permission, which lets the App only create and manage the specific files it uploads on your behalf — your exported reports. The App cannot see, read, or touch any other file in your Google Drive.

• Files are uploaded into your own Google Drive, using your own storage.
• We store a secure Google "refresh token" on our server only so the App can upload on your behalf without asking you to sign in every time.
• You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from within the App, or revoke access at Google Account › Third-party access.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and maintain the App and your account.
• To upload and share the report files you choose to upload to your Google Drive.
• To improve reliability (crash diagnostics) and provide customer support.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only: (a) with Google, to provide the Drive upload you request; (b) when required by law; or (c) to protect our rights and users' safety.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. Your Google refresh token is deleted when you disconnect Drive in the App or delete your account. Files already uploaded remain in your own Google Drive and are controlled by you. To delete your account, contact us at the email below.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Secrets and tokens are stored on our server and are never embedded in the app. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
